Face detection in image
Pospíšil, Lukáš ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Mézl, Martin (advisor)
The main puprose of this paper is to introduce some of algorithms used in face detection in images. This paper focuses on face detection by using a skin-color based segmentation that is computed in three color spectrums (RGB,YCbCr and HSV). This paper also includes software for face detection in pictures and videos.
Impact of color models on performance of convolutional neural networks
Šimunský, Martin ; Doležel, Petr (referee) ; Škrabánek, Pavel (advisor)
Current knowledge about impact of colour models on performance of convolutional neural network is investigated in the first part of this thesis. The experiment based on obtained knowledge is conducted in the second part. Six colour models HSV, CIE 1931 XYZ, CIE 1976 L*a*b*, YIQ a YCbCr and deep convolutional neural network ResNet-101 are used. RGB colour model achieved the highest classification accuracy, whereas HSV color model has the lowest accuracy in this experiment.
Interactive web applications for education of color theory
Koroleva, Anfisa ; Přinosil, Jiří (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of interpretation of colors and color images in computer graphics. Specifically, the work is focused on the development of simple web applications – applets that will serve for interactive submission of methods used in the field of computer processing of color images. The created applets should demonstrate the relevant theory relating to color mixing in different color models, conversion of a color image to a gray-scale image, conversion of a gray-scale image to a false-color image, conversion of physical light into CIE XYZ and L*a*b* color spaces. The first part of the thesis describes the theoretical basis for the required applets. The following practical part is dedicated to the process of implementing the applets using JavaScript and HTML.
Acceleration of Data Compression Algorithms Using GPU
Cacek, Pavel ; Drábek, Vladimír (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is dealing with possibility of acceleration compression algorithm on graphical card. I have studied specifically the compression algorithm JPEG, which is used for compression image data. The text first introduced technology, which give access to us use computational power of graphics cards.  The work is also focused on the theoretical description of the JPEG and subsequently is describe its implementation using OpenCL and NVIDIA CUDA. Finally, there is a comparison of performance this GPGPU technologies.
Interactive web applications for image processing education
Krolop, Filip ; Záviška, Pavel (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
Introduction to theory related to applets that will be used for educational purposes, creation of custom design, draft of their basic functionality and control elements, followed by own implementation and optimization. This is an interactive submission of image processing algorithms specifically, applets are focused on color models, their relationships and calculations between each other: 1 / Pallet (index) image representation, 2 / Colormixing in different models, 3 / Color image conversion to grayscale image, 4 / Conversion of a grayscale image to color image (false colors). Applets implemented using HTMLand JavaScript to demonstrate the theory and encourage students to interact.

Web applications supporting education of JPEG compression
Dziuina, Valeriia ; Záviška, Pavel (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the problem of lossy compression of image data implemented by the JPEG algorithm. The JPEG algorithm itself is described, as well as the background necessary for its understanding, such as the physical and physiological nature of colour formation, its basic parameters and RGB and YCbCr colour models. The result of this work is three web applications, each of which should demonstrate the flow of certain steps of the algorithm and their influence on the final image. These applications are first aimed at simplifying the understanding of the image data compression process within the JPEG algorithm.
